Huffman to present at International Symposium
Chris Huffman, P.E, a partner in Huffman Corridor Consulting and an appraiser with Martens Appraisal, has been invited to participate in a workshop and to present a paper on the interaction of property development and transportation networks at the 6th International Symposium on Highway Geometric Design next summer in Amsterdam. This will be the fifth international symposium to which Huffman has contributed.
The paper, titled “The Demand Side of the Equation: Understanding the Resistance to Access Management Application in the Real World”, is an examination of why quality traffic engineering and land development techniques are not actually implemented. The theory presented suggests the best solutions for multiple corridor management issues are not utilized for a number of reasons, including cost, profit, and complexity.
Huffman will also be co-presenting a workshop at the symposium. He has previously presented in Athens, Shanghai and South Africa.
